North Rhine-Westphalia Joint Stands – with Start-up Area and Innovation#Area
The State of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) presents two large joint exhibition stands: in hall 3, with a focus on medical technology, diagnostics and research, and in hall 13, with a focus on digital health. More than 30 exhibitors will be presenting their products and solutions for a digital and sustainable healthcare sector. Stakeholders, start-ups and innovative projects in the healthcare industry and research will also be providing information about their industry and support services.

Matching Points for Networking
For the first time, there will be two new areas for networking and in-depth exchange – a meeting place for and with innovative start-ups and projects from North Rhine-Westphalia. Here you can expect to meet further partners for discussion from the health industry and research.
- Start-up Area - the North Rhine-Westphalian ecosystem for digital health presents the diverse start-up scene in North Rhine-Westphalia with its founders and stakeholders (Hall 13).
- Innovation#Area - the Innovation Promotion Agency.NRW (IN.NRW) presents innovative and pioneering projects from current funding programs with a focus on medicine of the future (Hall 13).

DigiHealthStart.NRW - Start-up Area on the NRW Ecosystem
The lead project DigiHealthStart.NRW is building a sustainable ecosystem for start-ups in the field of digital health in North Rhine-Westphalia, with a platform as a central point of contact. The project, funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy NRW, is organizing the Start-up Area at the joint stand in hall 13.
A total of over 30 health start-ups from North Rhine-Westphalia have been invited to present their innovative ideas and to engage in discussion and exchange experiences. Also present: further partners and stakeholders from the start-up ecosystem in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Digital Health Monitor 2024 - Focus: Female Entrepreneurship
DigiHealthStart.NRW presents the results of the Health Start-up Monitor 2024 at MEDICA. This year's report focuses on start-ups founded by women in the digital healthcare sector and will be published for the third time in 2024. Minister of Economic Affairs Mona Neubaur will receive the newest report at MEDICA.
Innovation#Area - Innovative Projects funded by EU and NRW
The Innovation Promotion Agency NRW (IN.NRW) presents innovative and pioneering projects from current funding programs in the Innovation#Area in hall 13.
A total of 16 projects have been invited to present their solutions in the key areas of medicine of the future, digital applications and biomedicine.
The Innovation Promotion Agency NRW is commissioned by the State Government NRW and supervises funding measures and innovation programs as part of the European EFRE/JTF program NRW 2021-2027.
The funding competition Gesünder.IN.NRW is a central promotion instrument for the health industry and is implemented by the Ministry of Culture and Science (MKW) in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (MWIKE), the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs (MAGS) and the Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation and Transport (MUNV).
Through the funding program ZukunftBIO.NRW, SMEs and startups further develop innovative solutions and applications for the medicine of the future.

BIO.NRW MEDICA-Forum 2024
A revolutionary approach to medicine – the application of gene and cell therapies made in NRW: Experts from academia and business will discuss this topic at the BIO.NRW MEDICA-Forum.

Innovative projects, funded by various programs and competitions of North Rhine-Westphalia, will be presented at the joint stand in hall 3 and will be available for in-depth discussions.
